2026 K-World Dream Awards: ATEEZ Take Four Trophies, BTS Named Artist of the Year

The K-World Dream Awards turned ten this year — and the winners made it a night to remember.

Hosted by Jun Hyun Moo and Jang Do Yeon, the 2026 K-World Dream Awards took place on August 27 at KINTEX. The ceremony, which first kicked off in 2017 as the Soribada Best K-Music Awards, returned for its 10th year with an expansive spread of categories spanning mainstream hits, rookies, bands, and fan-voted honors.

ATEEZ's big night

ATEEZ took home four awards, the most of any act on the night: the Best Artist Award, the Best Stage Award, the Group Popularity Award, and the Artist Award. The popularity award matters — it's fan-voted, and a win there reflects a fandom that showed up in numbers week after week. But the Best Artist Award is the one that anchors a career statement, and ATEEZ pairing it with a stage award feels fitting for a group whose live shows are their calling card.

The three-trophy club

BTS, LE SSERAFIM, and RIIZE each collected three trophies. BTS's haul included Artist of the Year — still the most prestigious single line on any Korean award night — along with the Best Album Award and the Artist Award. LE SSERAFIM took the Best Artist Award, Best Visual Content Award, and Artist Award, while RIIZE picked up the Best Performance Award, the Journalist Pick Artist Award, and the Artist Award.

That mix of the old guard and the new generation is exactly what these shows are supposed to look like. BTS remain the heavyweight; LE SSERAFIM and RIIZE are the groups carrying 2026 momentum.

Rookies and hidden gems

The newer categories told their own story. The Super Rookie Award went to CORTIS, AND2BLE, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE — three acts that have been racking up momentum this year. The Global Next Leadership Award went to AMPERS&ONE, NOWZ, and XLOV, while the Global Spotlight Award went to xikers, IDID, and AHOF.

Beyond the rookies, the ceremony spread its recognition wide: the Best Band Artist Award went to Hi-Fi Un!corn and QWER, the Best Digital Music Award to AKMU, Hwasa, I.O.I, IVE, aespa, and Yena, and the Best Album Award to BTS, ENHYPEN, NCT WISH, TXT, and BLACKPINK. SEEYA won the Listeners' Choice Award, and RESCENE took the Best Fandom Award — a nod to a fandom that has fueled a striking rise this year.

What the night says

An awards show in its tenth year has to justify its existence. What the 2026 K-World Dream Awards offered was breadth — a lineup that celebrated first-generation acts, current chart-toppers, and the newest rookies in the same room, with fan-voted categories that let fandoms weigh in directly on the outcome.

For ATEEZ, the four trophies are the headline. For everyone else, the night proved the K-World Dream Awards still have a pulse — and a surprisingly good nose for what's happening in K-pop right now.
