NMIXX Lands 4th Entry on Billboard 200 With "Heavy Serenade"

NMIXX has done it again — the group has landed their fourth entry on the Billboard 200 with their latest mini album "Heavy Serenade."

On May 26 local time, Billboard confirmed that "Heavy Serenade" debuted at No. 182 on the main Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States across all genres.

Four entries, steady progress

The new EP joins a growing list of NMIXX projects that have cracked the chart:

  • "expérgo" (2023) — peaked at No. 122
  • "Fe3O4: BREAK" (2024) — peaked at No. 171
  • "Blue Valentine" (2025) — peaked at No. 177
  • "Heavy Serenade" (2026) — debuts at No. 182

While the debut position is slightly lower than their previous entries, landing a fourth album on the chart in consecutive years is nothing to brush off. The Billboard 200 is notoriously competitive, and maintaining a presence there across four releases shows a fanbase that's consistently engaged rather than just showing up for one viral moment.

What "Heavy Serenade" brings

The mini album continues NMIXX's signature blend of genres — their "mixx pop" sound that stitches together different musical styles within a single track. The title track has been praised for its dynamic structure, switching between bold brass-driven sections and softer melodic passages in a way that's become the group's trademark.

The album reportedly incorporates stronger R&B influences than some of their earlier work, giving the members — Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin — room to showcase a more mature vocal palette.

The bigger picture

What stands out about NMIXX's US chart history is the pattern. Each entry lands at a slightly different position, but the fact that they keep coming back — that the audience doesn't drift between releases — points to a solid, if gradually evolving, fanbase in North America. Not every K-pop group manages consecutive entries on the Billboard 200, and NMIXX has now done it four times.

It will be interesting to see how their next full album cycle performs, especially if the momentum from "Heavy Serenade" carries through to the next release.
